Picture story book for children.0x0D0x0AFictionalized account of the life of Te Rauparaha who was the chief of Ng<U+008c>ati Toa during the 1820s, when Ng<U+008c>ati Toa was driven from Kawhia by the allied forces of Waikato and Maniapoto. Under the leadership of Te Rauparaha, Ng<U+008c>ati Toa walked southwards. They travelled many kilometres over swamps, rivers, mountains, valleys, forests and foreshore. They eventually made Kapiti Island their new home. Suggested level: primary.
